The League of Women Voters believes that democratic government depends upon the informed and active participation of its citizens and requires that governmental bodies protect the citizen's right to know by giving adequate notice of proposed actions, holding open meetings and making public records accessible.

Whatever the issue, the League believes that efficient and economical government requires competent personnel, the clear assignment of responsibilities, adequate financing, coordination among levels of government, effective enforcement and well defined channels for citizen input and review.

The information and activities featured on this Web site are issues and initiatives that the League works and lobbies on at the State level. We also work on local (municipal) and national League issues.

Because we actively lobby at the State House on Campaign Finance, Election Law, Government Accountability, and other issues that arise; donations to the League of Women Voters are not tax-deductible.*

You can help the League continue its efforts for better government, its presence at the State House, and this Web site. Please respond to our request for your financial support.

To donate, please complete the form below and click on the "Submit" button. Then complete the donation process by sending your donation mail (personal check or money order) or online (credit card).
