Education Fund Grant Application

The League of Women Voters Rhode Island Education Fund is a non-partisan public policy educational organization, which makes grants to fund projects to build citizen participation in the democratic process, study key community issues at all governmental levels in an unbiased manner and enables people to seek positive solutions to public policy issues through education and conflict management.

It awards grants based on the following priorities:

  1. Voter education and citizenship activities sponsored by LWV RI or local leagues in RI.
  2. Programs and initiatives to strengthen the League, including dissemination of LWV publications sponsored by LWV RI or local leagues in RI.
  3. Voter education events including debates, issues education activities and issues forums sponsored by groups not affiliated with the LWV.
  4. Activities concerning social, political and environmental concerns that develop greater understanding of current issues (including providing an historical context) and/or encourage civic participation sponsored by groups not affiliated with the LWV.

To submit a grant application online:

  1. Complete the form below and click on the "Submit" button
  2. Note instructions for submitting any hard copy supporting materials by mail
  3. Upon receipt of an application, the designated contact will receive an email or phone notification
  4. Applications and mailed materials will not be returned

Note: The League of Women Voters Education Fund may want to tape for public viewing all or portions of any program produced with Education Fund moneys.

A Final Report  must be submitted at the end of the project.
